  • Grateful for Dr. Shaw!

I have learned so much from Dr. Shaw's podcasts and IG posts! Since January, I have gained a lot of weight and experiential high cortisol levels. No matter how little I ate, I continued to gain and be really bloated. Ever since I listened to a lot of her podcasts I have learned so much about gut health like the 3 F's and just how to repair your gut health! Ever since I started focusing on protein, fiber, fitness, fermented foods, etc.. I feel really good everyday. I am still on a journey to feel... more

  • Phenomenal information

I love that I feel like I’m having a chat with a great friend who has phenomenal information about my health, I share episodes with others often. If there was one thing that I would recommend it would be to please improve the sound - I’m not sure what’s being used as a microphone but it would be so great if a better mic was used.

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Ep 115 (Classic) The 4-Step Plan to Stay Strong, Lean & Unbreakable After 40 with Dr. Vonda Wright
Q: Why is bone health treated as a metabolic issue, and how should women approach it in their 30s and 40s?
Bone acts as a metabolic organ that influences energy regulation and hormone signaling; therefore, jumping 20-50 times daily and lifting properly can stimulate bone formation, while starting in the 30s and 40s helps preserve bone density and delays age-related decline.
Ep 115 (Classic) The 4-Step Plan to Stay Strong, Lean & Unbreakable After 40 with Dr. Vonda Wright
Q: What is the four-part prescription you prescribe for staying unbreakable as you age?
The four-part FACE plan: Flexibility and joint mobility; Aerobic exercise with a focus on low heart rate training and occasional high-intensity bursts; Carrying a load through resistance training; and Explosive power to build strength and coordination.
Ep 107 Improving Longevity and Cellular Health with Astaxanthin and Dave Watumull
Q: How does Astaxanthin affect aging and longevity?
Beyond general health, Astaxanthin activates anti-aging pathways and has been shown in NIH-funded models to extend lifespan in mice by around 12%, while also improving healthspan by supporting mitochondrial function and reducing chronic inflammation.
Ep 107 Improving Longevity and Cellular Health with Astaxanthin and Dave Watumull
Q: What is Astaxanthin, and why is it different from other antioxidants?
Astaxanthin is a natural marine pigment with exceptional antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, and it uniquely anchors across cell membranes to protect them from oxidative damage, while also delivering broad systemic benefits across heart, brain, skin, eye, and gut health.
Ep 103 The Wheel of Age Framework to Slow Aging at the Cellular Level with Dr. Pablo Prichard
Q: When does aging acceleration typically happen?
Aging acceleration can happen early or late depending on lifestyle choices and environmental exposure.
