Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Michael Morrison PT, DPT - Strength Training with some PEACE and LOVE
Q: What would you recommend for a basic at-home equipment setup for runners?
A minimal kit can be five resistance bands of different tensions, a chair or sturdy anchor, and eventually adjustable dumbbells or a simple barbell substitute like a Hyperbell system.
Michael Morrison PT, DPT - Strength Training with some PEACE and LOVE
Q: Do you have advice for people who say they don't have time for strength training?
Even a minimal commitment of an hour per week can yield huge gains; if needed, cut EMOM to as short as 9 minutes or do two sets instead of three to fit two sessions per week.
Jeffrey Binney - Once is Enough
Q: What inspired you to start this project, Once is Enough, the film? I'd love to know, how did the process of getting that started come about?
The idea grew from a personal need to honor my mom after she passed and from a desire to tell a story that blended running with a broader life narrative. The process started with friends moving to Los Angeles, discussions about a low-budget project, and rapid changes in direction as opportunities arose; ultimately, finishing the film became a mission of perseverance and authenticity.
Camille Herron On Records, Neurodiversity, And Reform In Ultra Running
Q: How did Camille's neurodivergent profile shape her approach to training and competition?
Her neurodivergence gives her heightened attention to detail, exceptional memory, and the ability to hyper-focus, which she leverages to optimize training blocks, race strategy, and communication, while also requiring accommodations and support to manage sensory load and other challenges.
Amelia Boone - Enjoying the Journey
Q: How has Boone approached discussing her eating disorder in public?
She chose to share her story to break silence, reduce shame, and help others feel less alone, while acknowledging that openness changes how people see her and can invite ongoing, supportive dialogue.
