  • Crazy

I wanted to hear a podcast about the original cat people movie instead they’re talking about how bad Fox News is and how men can be pregnant… There’s something wrong with these people. Quite honestly scarier than the movie itself!

  • My new favorite

These women are the absolute best. I am 50% each of them I love horror but some I cannot watch, so I enjoy both hearing the stories of the films I know and don’t know bc I can’t do it. I can’t stop catching up on old episodes!

  • Horror Movie Perfection

I have recently discovered your podcast and love to hear after every movie trailer, Alison say it looks, “very scary” and for Halle to explain every absolutely horrifying act of depravity with, “ya hate to see it.” As a horror fan I only ruin the films I’ve already seen and love all the insight and humor y’all add. One movie suggestion: after Terrified hit so well, try When Evil Lurks by the same people, from 2023. I apologize if you have covered it already. Keep up the great stuff

  • Ex-Horror Loving Mom

I am in love with this podcast. Before having kids, I used to LOVE watching horror movies! Since then, I’ve found myself having trouble watching them and have become a bit of a wimp. I relate to Halle because of her love and respect for horror movies, and to Alison for her fear of watching them. It doesn’t hurt that both ladies are hilarious! This has become my comfort podcast and I am always ready for more!

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

The Caller
Q: What is the twist in The Caller?
The twist revolves around time travel through phone calls, where Rose from the past interacts with Mary to influence events, causing a ripple that changes who lives and dies, including a walling up of bodies in the pantry as the timeline shifts.
Bone Lake
Q: Where would you put Bone Lake on the spooky scale?
I think this is a four, because the incest is disturbing. Also, Sin's Final Death is like, that actually, I was like, oh, like hair tangled in a boat propeller is, oof.
Bone Lake
Q: And how scary do you find the concept of you're going away on a romantic weekend at a beautiful lake house, all alone, gorgeous?
I don't love a lake house.
Bone Lake
Q: What do you think about the trailer for Bone Lake?
Kind of hard to figure out what's going on, even though I think it's probably more straightforward as a movie than the trailer presents.
Cabin In The Woods
Q: So, Alison, what, if any, fatal mistakes do you think our characters made in this movie?
It feels like they had a plan for everything, and thus, like, there was no real escape.
