  • Interesting guests

Greg is a really good show. His guests always have something great to offer and it is such a good listen. Only tweaks… Maybe spread out the sponsors of the show between episodes rather than having three or four minutes of ad reads at the beginning, which is a bit tedious. But understandable. I can definitely understand that ads need to be read. And the only other thing is that sometimes there are things that are said by the guests that Greg seems to either not here or just glaze over and it almo... more

This is hands down the best hyrox related interview. The sincere and honest responses are full of knowledge and wisdom and Greg asks simple and open questions that lead to dynamic answers. Greg says just enough and lets his guests be the show and Tiago does not disappoint.

Sean Wade on HYROX: The Mindset and Training Behind a 1:02 at 60
Q: What motivates him to keep competing and what goals does he have for HYROX?
His motivation comes from competition and striving to improve time, particularly in the 60+ category. He aims to break age-related records, optimize performance in wall balls, and compete in both singles and doubles at world events, with a long-term goal of age-grading performances.
Sean Wade on HYROX: The Mindset and Training Behind a 1:02 at 60
Q: How does he approach training and recovery as an older athlete?
He emphasizes high-volume training, listening to his body, and prioritizing recovery modalities like daily ice baths, weekly massages, and compression boots. He also discusses using heart-rate zones, avoiding overtraining, and favoring HYROX-specific stations over pure heavy lifting.
Brad Stulberg on HYROX: Goal Setting, Patience, and the Real Path to Excellence
Q: How should athletes think about goal setting and breaking down big goals?
Start with a big audacious outcome, then break it into manageable steps, focusing on the smallest possible actions today and judging yourself by effort rather than the distant result.
Brad Stulberg on HYROX: Goal Setting, Patience, and the Real Path to Excellence
Q: What is excellence not, and what are common misconceptions around it?
Excellence is not perfection or a destination; it is an internal process of giving your best, staying aligned with your values, and embracing a long-term, curious engagement with your activity.
HYROX Elite 15 Athlete Luke Greer - Fast Running, Station Training, and Going All-In
Q: Do you ever feel the need to have a coach for HYROX?
I am a bit resistant to it but realize seeking guidance could benefit my performance, especially on station work.
