  • Move Over Mark Hyman!

I have been listening to health and wellness podcasts for years- and personally, I feel that many are starting to become redundant, or simply sales pitches for product. Elizabeth’s podcast is a bright, new and refreshing look at the field of functional medicine. I’ve also been a patient for about 10 years – she is incredibly knowledgeable and it translates in her podcast. Listeners are incredibly lucky to catch a glimpse inside the workings of her mind as she discusses lab results and the roo... more

  • Fascinating topic

l just finished listening to this truly interesting episode and learned so much about an important topic, Vagus nerve stimulation, which I was previously unfamiliar with. Elizabeth and her guest did an amazing job breaking it down in a way that was both understandable and medically informative. I am inspired to start implementing the wellness and treatment recommendations they discussed. Highly recommend this episode!

  • Great information

I loved this podcast and learned so much about this new device. When I tried it, I felt so relaxed. I didn’t know at that time there were so many other benefits. I have since bought the book. There’s comprehensive studies that show how many other medical issues could be affected and aided helping patients without the use of medications. Thank you for providing this amazing podcast!

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Ep. 21: Peptides, Bioregulators & Real-World Longevity with Nathalie Niddam
Q: What caveats should listeners consider when stacking peptides?
Stacks can overload the immune system and obscure which component is causing a response; dosing and individual tolerance vary, so cycling and separating components can help manage reactions.
Ep. 21: Peptides, Bioregulators & Real-World Longevity with Nathalie Niddam
Q: What are peptides and bioregulators, and how do they differ in their mechanism of action?
Peptides are short proteins that can signal receptors to initiate cascades, while bioregulators are even smaller, act inside the cell and can influence DNA expression to restore a more youthful cellular state.
Ep. 22: Patient Perspective: Randi Zuckerberg on Running 250 Miles, Redefining Midlife, and the Functional Medicine Approach That Made It Possible
Q: What would you say are the top three things that made the biggest difference for you in this journey?
Ongoing peptides, red light therapy for recovery, and lifestyle changes including nutrition, sleep, and hormones; plus the importance of individualized coaching and a holistic approach beyond just supplements.
Ep. 20; Can We Reverse Aging? The Science of Therapeutic Plasma Exchange with Dr. Brad Youngren
Q: How many exchanges are typically recommended for longevity, and how do you tailor the cadence for individuals?
The current approach often starts with multiple exchanges upfront—around six over a few months—followed by maintenance, with cadence personalized based on disease burden, safety data, and how the patient responds, integrating subjective wellbeing and objective health markers to optimize long-term protocols.
Ep. 17: When ‘Normal’ Isn’t Optimal: Molly Segal, FDNP on Labs, Hormones & Feeling Like Yourself Again
Q: How do hormones fit into the overall treatment plan?
Hormones can have immediate and profound effects on mood, energy, and sleep; the plan often starts with stabilizing hormones and then building foundational health through nutrition, gut health, and detox.
