Rock Under Fire is a rock and roll podcast dissecting and discussing seven decades of rock in all its beautiful, wondrous, and despicable glory. Once upon a time, rock and roll music was the center of pop culture. Is rock really dead as some suggest? Or is it in a period of stagnancy existing on the fringe? What is its place in the 21st Century? These questions are the constant underlying theme to... more

I discovered the podcast through The Great Albums podcast which had host Mike on as a guest. Checked it out and now I’m a regular listener making my way through the old episodes. I enjoy the chemistry of the guys, their perspectives on rock music, and their honesty. As a 50 year old rock fan, I often think a lot of things that get said on this show. A great show to pop on during work commutes.
I just started listening recently and am just a little more than half way through the shows (16 of 27). Not one has disappointed to date. There's been a few that I've read the description and thought, "this isn't for me" but I gave them a shot and to my surprise, wound up thoroughly enjoying each of them. Great job guys, and Tracy too! 😊 Looking forward to listening to the rest and finally being caught up.
These guys know their stuff about rock! You feel like a fly on the wall of a room when they are riffing about everything from Kiss to G&R. The time flies, and before you know it you're looking for the next episode. A "must-listen" on my ever-expanding list of podcasts. Thanks!
I listened after a friend recommended to me several times. These guys are great! The time flies by and you feel like you just want to keep the conversation going!!
Do you remember thumbing through milk crates filled with your parents records? Did you have multiple fake brown leather cases in your car with your cassette collection, alphabatized from AC/DC to ZZ Top? Do you live in constant fear that one day Columbia House will show up at your door asking for the thousands of dollars you owe them from years of abusing the free CDs? If you answered yes to any of these, then you need to listen to this podcast! These three are a walking encyclopedia of Rock N R... more
These guys are absolutely amazing. they really know their stuff. this podcast is one of my absolute favorites.
Ever feel like when you you're listening to people talk about rock and it seems like a battle of who knows something more obscure, something cooler than a peon like the audience could ever know? You won't get that feeling with these guys. Very down to Earth, very fluid conversations that are relatable to any rock fan.
Keep up the great work fellas!
On first listen I instantly felt like I knew these guys. Rock Under Fire has a really good vibe that makes me feel like I'm sitting in my favorite dive listening to some knowledgeable friends talk about the great and not so great times of rock n roll. They talk current but stay true to the essence and I've already picked up a few cool nuggets from these guys. I'll stay tuned as long as they keep it up! 🍻🍻 🎸⬇️🔥
