  • Great podcast overall but has dangerous misinformation on Covid vaccines

Updating this review and rating because I don’t think it is fair to give a negative review based solely on one episode. Overall I love the bite size episodes, easy to digest and follow. I would give this 5 stars - my main concern was with the Covid vaccine episode when Katie interviewed her husband. Their opinions on the potential harms of the Covid vaccine may further spread misinformation and doubt, putting our communities at risk. We know the risk of complications from Covid in pregnant women... more

#212 | The Fertility Secret No One Is Telling You About Until Now (Plus How It Can Help You Get Pregnant Faster)
Q: What are the practical steps listeners can take beyond peptides to improve fertility foundations?
Begin with solid foundations: optimize diet and lifestyle, manage inflammation, gut health, thyroid function, stress, sleep, toxin exposure, and partner connection. If possible, work with a practitioner to identify priority changes and build a supportive team to sustain progress.
#212 | The Fertility Secret No One Is Telling You About Until Now (Plus How It Can Help You Get Pregnant Faster)
Q: When should someone pause peptide therapy during a fertility journey?
If using Kisspeptin for fertility, a typical guidance is a three-month cycle, and you should stop immediately upon a positive pregnancy test because there is limited research on peptides during pregnancy and safety concerns.
#212 | The Fertility Secret No One Is Telling You About Until Now (Plus How It Can Help You Get Pregnant Faster)
Q: What is Kisspeptin and how does it impact ovulation and fertility?
Kisspeptin is a naturally occurring neuropeptide that stimulates the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal axis, triggering the release of LH and FSH which are central to ovulation and reproductive health. It can be particularly helpful in conditions like hypothalamic amenorrhea where signaling is muted, effectively turning on the system to promote ovulation.
#212 | The Fertility Secret No One Is Telling You About Until Now (Plus How It Can Help You Get Pregnant Faster)
Q: Can you explain what peptides are and how they differ from hormones in fertility conversations?
Peptides are short chains of amino acids that act as signaling molecules, helping the body communicate and regulate functions. Unlike hormones, which are broad chemical messengers, peptides serve as specific signals, and their effectiveness can be limited by aging and environmental factors; peptide therapy aims to restore those signals to support fertility.
#194 | The Support You Didn't Know You Needed on Your Fertility Journey or After Experiencing a Miscarriage
Q: What action steps might you recommend for someone struggling on their fertility journey?
I suggest knowing your options, seeking out resources, and understanding that you don't have to handle this journey alone.
