  • Endless Audio Issues!

The purpose, content and guests on this show are first rate BUT the audio issues, skipping, stuttering, etc within so many episodes often makes the whole episode (and increasingly the whole show) un-listen-able! Please STOP publishing episodes without cleaning up the audio stuttering, skipping, etc problems first!

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Belief changes biology: Placebos, aging, and exercise
Q: How much longer do you want me to talk before we break into questions?
About 45 minutes more, until 10:30, after which the Q&A portion begins.
Favorite plant-based research and global longevity lessons
Q: In your experience, what are some of the key factors that contribute to long-term adherence to a whole food plant-based diet?
The key factors include building a supportive community, aligning dietary changes with family and friends to reduce social friction, practical and simple cooking plans (like a set of few go-to recipes), and understanding that education and practical tools help people feel confident about nutrient adequacy while making the switch.
Rethinking cancer as chronically fermenting cells
Q: Can you explain what chronic fermenting cells are and how that functions?
The guest explains that chronic fermenting cells (CFCs) are a metabolic state where cells predominantly ferment glucose to lactate regardless of oxygen availability, contrasting with normal aerobic respiration. This metabolic shift is presented as central to understanding cancer biology and treatment implications, with emphasis on how cellular metabolism can influence disease progression and response to therapy.
Nutrient Deficiencies Aren’t Unique to Plant Diets
Q: What key biomarkers beyond standard cholesterol do you recommend individuals discuss with their doctors who assess cardiovascular risk, especially those following a plant-based diet?
Discuss lipoprotein B, C-reactive protein, and lipoprotein(a) as essential markers of inflammation and lipid-related risk, in addition to broader tests like A1C, blood pressure, and overall organ function to capture holistic cardiovascular risk.
Surrender, Faith, and Emotional Healing in Long Fasts
Q: How would somebody follow your work?
The speaker directs listeners to waterfasting.org, where articles, videos, and contact options are available for further engagement and guidance.
