  • Endless Audio Issues!

The purpose, content and guests on this show are first rate BUT the audio issues, skipping, stuttering, etc within so many episodes often makes the whole episode (and increasingly the whole show) un-listen-able! Please STOP publishing episodes without cleaning up the audio stuttering, skipping, etc problems first!

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Reversing Disease and Extending Life with Food
Q: What practical steps can a listener start with to implement this diet without feeling deprived?
Start by increasing daily intake of leafy greens and vegetables, incorporate a variety of nuts and seeds as your main fat source, choose intact whole grains and legumes, reduce processed foods and animal products, and consider targeted supplementation to cover potential gaps like B12, iodine, vitamin D, and EPA/DHA while monitoring doses.
Safe Products, Safer Homes: Everyday Choices That Matter
Q: And just one last question. Are you able, like when someone is on it, can they undo the damage that's been done by it, or are there long-term effects even after you go off of it?
It varies and is hard to know; fertility issues may sometimes reverse with time or hormone balancing, but outcomes depend on individual circumstances and other health factors.
Why all oils contribute to insulin resistance
Q: Is there a program for you to teach doctors?
Dr. Klaper explains that his main work involves going directly to medical schools and training students and residents through lectures and outreach, bypassing resistant administrations, and expanding nutrition education through online and in-person initiatives such as Moving Med Forward.
Can You Reverse Diabetes With Food? Absolutely.
Q: What are the key physiological changes that occur to enable reversal of type 2 diabetes on a plant-based diet?
Reduction of ectopic fat in liver and muscle allows insulin to work effectively again, leading to lower blood sugar and improved metabolic health; cutting animal fats and oils facilitates fat loss from cells and liver, contributing to reversal.
Rapid Results and Proven Solutions for Diabetes
Q: How do blood sugar improvements on a plant-based diet compare to conventional dietary recommendations?
Across several studies, whole food plant-based diets consistently outperform conventional diets for glycemic control, with larger reductions in A1C than typical dietary guidance.
