  • Endless Audio Issues!

The purpose, content and guests on this show are first rate BUT the audio issues, skipping, stuttering, etc within so many episodes often makes the whole episode (and increasingly the whole show) un-listen-able! Please STOP publishing episodes without cleaning up the audio stuttering, skipping, etc problems first!

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Fluoride Warning Labels and Health Risks
Q: What flips the switch from probiotic to pathogenic bacteria in the mouth?
The shift is influenced by what you're using in oral care; products that are destructive to the microbiome, including certain mouthwashes and toothpaste ingredients, can push bacteria from probiotic to pathogenic states. The discussion emphasizes that the goal should be to support a probiotic oral microbiome rather than aggressively killing microbes.
Remote Fasting, Safety Record, and Cognitive Benefits
Q: What about cognitive benefits or improvements after fasting or medication changes?
There are anecdotes of cognitive improvement after withdrawing certain medications and restoring a healthier diet, suggesting cognitive benefits may come from addressing underlying issues and reducing toxicity.
Remote Fasting, Safety Record, and Cognitive Benefits
Q: Can fasting be safely done at home, and how is remote supervision handled?
Yes, with remote doctor support, telemedicine, and daily monitoring; patients can fast at home under physician guidance and online educational resources.
Remote Fasting, Safety Record, and Cognitive Benefits
Q: How many fasts have you conducted and what is the mortality risk observed?
They report thousands of water-only fasts with zero fasting-related mortality, noting some non-fasting deaths during hospitalizations or unrelated to fasting, and emphasize proactive medical oversight for safety.
Antibiotics and Gut Health Risks
Q: How do you recommend recovering from antibiotics?
After finishing antibiotics, take one or two probiotic doses to inoculate the gut, and then feed the new bacteria with a healthy, nutrient-dense diet and prebiotic foods; avoid daily probiotic dosing during the antibiotic course since the antibiotic will kill them, but resume post-treatment to reestablish balance.
