  • “Elites” being elites

If you want a very one sided take of your news, without any pushback, this is your place. Listened to the Gay episode, and there was absolutely no ability by the individuals to speak on the various complexities of the case, which there are. Just a lot of elites trying to sound profound, carrying a narrative to appease the powers that be. If you were going to talk to me about how important academic integrity is at Harvard, and then say what happened to Claudine Gay what is a travesty, don’t tal... more

  • Great but host is blatantly bias

I’m lean moderate Left but try to keep an open mind & be respectful to those with other views. I see that Radio Boston tries to bring in voices of various opinions but the host makes it obvious how she feels about the guests or callers opinions. Whenever she hears an opinion she disagrees with, you can hear her tense up or do a sigh. As a host, you should refrain from showing bias & keep how you feel about it out of it.

I enjoy that the podcast provides good local coverage otherwise.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

How Mass. native Sean O'Neill became a Paralympic curler
Q: Pre-game ritual?
I do band work to increase shoulder and arm flexibility, followed by a meditation, listening to Wake Me Up, team stretching, cardio, and a little volleyball.
How Mass. native Sean O'Neill became a Paralympic curler
Q: Sean, your accident was nearly 20 years ago now. And I found myself wondering as I was preparing for our conversation, if now that you're in the news, you're going to the Paralympics, you're competing on the wheelchair team, if it's forcing you to talk about a period of your life that you don't want to talk about anymore, or maybe you're very comfortable talking about now, but I wondered what that aspect has been like for you as you approach these Olympic Games.
It's something I've talked about with friends and family; I'm relatively private about it, but I'm not uncomfortable talking about it, and while public attention is a change, I see it as an opportunity to show that people with different abilities can pursue competitive sports.
With memories of 2004, Boston hopes to land the next DNC
Q: What stood out about Barack Obama's debut on the national stage at the 2004 convention?
James Pindell explains that Obama's speech and timing captured a transformative moment, shifting the crowd and national attention in a way that suggested the candidate could spark a broad, energized conversation across the country, which in turn influenced how people viewed Boston's potential to host future conventions.
Rep. Moulton on Iran: 'We don't know why we're going to war'
Q: Is there an explanation that you could hear from President Trump that would satisfy you that the US was appropriate in taking the actions it did over the weekend and is continuing to do today?
The only imaginable explanation would be an imminent threat that justified action without Congress, but there's been no real presentation of that, and no clear case that this is a limited action.
Rep. Auchincloss on the latest in Iran
Q: What is your view on whether Congress should authorize military action against Iran right now?
Congress should consider a bipartisan, clear authorization that defines the end goals and limits, rather than accepting shifting rationales for action without Congress's explicit authorization.
