  • Grifter

It’s sad because McFillin starts with a nugget of truth and levies valid criticisms of psychiatry. And then he takes it waaaaaaaay too far. Rog- have you considered getting some therapy? If so, ask about projection.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

221. A Yale MD on Angels, Telepathy & the Spiritual Root of the Mental Health Epidemic
Q: What advice do you have for clinicians who encounter patients with spiritual experiences that resemble psychosis but may be meaningful to them?
Clinicians should ground care in safety and foundation in biology while validating the patient's experiential reality, consider referrals for integrative approaches, and explore how to align spiritual experiences with evidence-based treatments, using monitoring and grounding techniques to avoid mislabeling and to support healing.
221. A Yale MD on Angels, Telepathy & the Spiritual Root of the Mental Health Epidemic
Q: You mentioned telepathy and other non-material experiences; how do you think these ideas fit within a scientific framework?
There is a growing body of clinical and translational work exploring how spiritual experiences and altered states relate to brain function, with potential for integration into treatment when safety and rigorous research are upheld. The key is to study these phenomena with the same scientific rigor as any other therapeutic modality while remaining open to modalities beyond traditional biomedical models.
220. Epstein, Eugenics and How To Break A Human Being
Q: How does spirituality come up in your work with people?
Spirituality is often viewed as an essential part of healing that connects individuals to something greater than themselves, which contrasts with the materialist view prevalent in psychiatry.
219. They Told Her She Was Dangerous. Her Patients Say She Saved Their Lives
Q: How do you see the shift in consciousness on the planet affecting mental health?
We are moving from darkness towards unity consciousness, and each individual's inner work contributes to the collective transformation.
219. They Told Her She Was Dangerous. Her Patients Say She Saved Their Lives
Q: What are the root causes of diseases according to your practice?
All diseases stem from three root causes: diet, trauma, and toxins.
