Prosecco N Prose is a monthly virtual book club where literary analysis meets liquid courage. Former English teachers Wendy and Amy sip Prosecco (or something of the like), spill opinions, and gleefully overanalyze the books you love (and love to hate). Expect deep dives, hot takes, tangents, and a healthy disregard for “assigned reading rules.” We talk books, book clubs, and whatever else pops up... more

Oh my gosh I love Wendy and Amy! They’re so much fun but they also throughly research and share some of the interesting details behind the books they cover! As a wannabe lit major way past college days AND the sister of an English teacher, this is hands down one of the best podcasts!

  • Fun & Informative 🍷📚🎉

Love the playful banter of the two co-hosts while discussing literature. I enjoyed their conversation, all while they’re trying to gulp down a shot of wheat grass. Which, btw- I’m adventurous, but will not be doing! 🤣 Keep up the great work! 📚

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Hidden in Smoke by Lee Goldberg
Q: What role does the idea of race against time play in the narrative?
The hosts argue that the procedural thriller relies on momentum and pace, with the urgency present on the page but emotionally muted; the two parallel threads create tension, especially around Danny's arc, while the LA pursuit and helicopter chases try to keep the clock running in the readers' minds.
