It’s so fun to hear Abram’s and JoAnne’s love of poetry and their sense of wonder about language come through each episode. I have learned so much and laughed out loud many times…listen to this podcast even if you don’t know much about poetry!
I love each episode and listen twice at least.
It is fantastic to listen to the close reading and exploration of poems by Ms. Diaz and Mr. Van Engen. They are both so thoughtful and engaging and bring so much care and attention to each poem. I would love to watch them live and in person! Anyone can hear their enthusiasm, it’s uplifting.
I just love this podcast! I’m not sure how I found it, but I’m certainly glad I did. It’s the only one I know that has such rich and warm conversations about poetry. And I feel I’m always learning something, as well as enjoying myself listening to it!
First of all, I am obsessed with the host Boston accent. As for the content, I absolutely love how they highlight the meaning(s), form, context and tools used by each poet to create a full experience of the poem. As someone who would love to get an MFA in poetry, but doesn't have the time or money, this podcast helps me indulge my passion for verse.
