  • Fostering joy

I had Poetry For All on my feed for a while and was immediately captivated by the show on John Donne’s aubaude. It was so refreshing to put aside politics and the distractions of sensationalized media and dip into our rich heritage of English poetry. Not only were the hosts well-prepared and knowledgeable, they also conveyed a sense of joy and play that renewed my dedication to read and write poetry. Huzzah for this podcast and for poets.

  • Joanne and Abram are the Best!

I came across Poetry for All a few years ago. I love listening to it, not just for the incisive look at the poems, but also for the lovely interplay between Joanne and Abram. They teach us not just how to read poetry but how to be human in the world. Absolutely essential listening.

  • Love this show

I’m new to poetry, both in reading and writing it. Abram and Joanne are informative, thoughtful, and helpful but mostly it is the poetry and their love of it that is compelling. They have a great back and forth.

I can’t wait to read Joanne’s new book!

I love Abram’s and Joanne’s joyful enthusiasm for these poems and for poetry in general. Wonderful and helpful insights every time! By the time they do the second reading of each poem I am alive to its many riches, depths and joys. Thanks, you two. I’m always smiling as I listen!!
