Big thanks to Podium. After the ‘nonsense’ of a certain co-owner of a US-based website’s track podcast, this is a breath of fresh air. Loved the two athlete interviews I listened to thus far.

Adding to an earlier review (above). Still enjoying it. But I could use a little less ‘where were you this weekend?’, especially if it was a cricket or tennis match, at the beginning of the pod. And, also, please cut back on the gratuitous cackling.

The personnel balance isn’t right. There is one excellent ex-athlete/ commentator and 2 commentator/ broadcasters in Richard and Katie. The show would be improved I feel with a 2:1 ratio the other way round, with a second ex-athlete (?field) of Hannah’s balance and ability drilling down into the enthusiasm, stats and atmosphere of the sport. There is a lot of deferring to Hannah particularly in the review episodes ( and her insights and nerdy stats are ideal in this respect- more of this please ... more

  • Great new podcast

Really enjoying this new podcast. Twice weekly and hosted by Hannah England (and Richard and Katie) who is establishing herself as a mainstay of athletics broadcasting, well deservedly too. The team know their stuff but have relaxed banter going on as well. Recommended to all athletics fans

Calli Hauger-Thackery
Q: What mental strategies do you use when the going gets tough?
I believe the marathon is a reflection of life; you will face ups and downs, but you just have to fight past those tough moments.
Calli Hauger-Thackery
Q: What do you feel makes the marathon so special?
The marathon teaches you so much about yourself and the training doesn't have to be only about slogging out miles; it's more nuanced and engaging.
Ep 22: Marco Arop
Q: What was behind that improvement in that time? Was it part of just learning the craft at senior level? Do you agree? Was there a jump between 21 to 22?
Arop explains that as he gained more experience, he began to focus on recovery and nutrition, which greatly improved his performance and understanding of race tactics.
Ep 22: Marco Arop
Q: When you say you did the half marathon, is that in training, sorry, or did you actually enter an event? We're curious to know what that time was at the end.
Arop ran in Huntsville, Alabama, and finished with an official time of 71 minutes, stating it was for fun and not part of his training.
Ep 22: Marco Arop
Q: Marco, for anyone who is a bit like me, like not an elite level runner and wants to know what it's like going into an altitude environment for the first time, how have you actually found it and how have you adapted to it?
Arop shares that he has found altitude training in St. Moritz enjoyable, emphasizing the importance of adjusting to the environment before taking on intense sessions.
