Listened to the BiCarrb episode. It was basically an advertisement for a business. No balance. Having tried the product some of the claims that the business owners make were rather alarming.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Ross Murray
Q: What would you tell athletes about changing coaches or training plans?
Find a system that works and stick with it while progressively building; avoid drastic changes that disrupt top-end form and increase injury risk, because consistency tends to pay off.
Ross Murray
Q: What was your relationship with funding and sponsorship like during your career?
Funding was crucial but subjective; I was on an option year with Nike, and funding fluctuated after the Olympics, which affected support for treatment and training budgets.
Ross Murray
Q: How did your performance in 2012 compare to previous years, and what changed?
I fluctuated between high training loads and injuries; my 2012 surge came with a combination of increased mileage, base work, and a favorable race environment, but I recognize later that the preparation might have been unsustainable for long-term health.
Evan Jager
Q: Did you ever imagine you would end up with a company like Nomeo, and how did those options evolve during your career?
Early on I wasn't sure what I'd do after running; my options shifted from coaching to possible Nike pathways, and finally to Nomeo, with timing and location playing crucial roles in what felt feasible.
Evan Jager
Q: What was it like deciding to retire and moving to a life in Stockholm?
I found the transition surprisingly smooth; after stepping away, I quickly found a role with Nomeo and appreciated how different life could be outside elite competition, while still keeping running in some capacity.
