I have enjoyed this podcast for a while now and finally decided to submit my own for a review. Thank you Dave, I knew you’d confirm what I was already thinking. I appreciate feedback, good and bad. I believe some coaching may be in order for this podcast host. Although, I now have a nagging desire to edit all of my last episodes. Lol
Addendum: I just listened to your review, Episide 427, of the Purple Pants Podcast. I laughed and your commentary, the whole way thru. You said, “The whole third p... more

I have been listening to this show for 2years now and I have learned so much from them.
Dave reviewed my podcast and I appreciated his specific and actionable suggestions for improvement. Then I listened to reviews of other shows and learned even more. This show shows instead of just tells and that makes it very useful. Couldn’t hit subscribe fast enough after finding it.
Amazing show! Full of valuable information served with humor. Dave Jackson delivers valuable insight based on his personal experience.
My show wouldn't be named what it is without this show, dave gives great advice on how to make your podcast better and also tells you what you are doing right.
I agree with Scott Johnson. I listened to each episode and took notes before I started my own podcast. Very useful to know the dos and dont's BEFORE finding out the hard way.

Great resource for what NOT to do when creating and growing a podcast
This is a fun podcast where Dave Jackson reviews podcasts in a "Gong Show" style, meaning that he plays them from the top and sees how long he can stay engaged with them. The show is somewhat controversial in that Dave can be snarky and he doesn't like everything, but I think it's all done with good intentions and, if you listen to what he's saying, the advice can be very helpful to improving your podcast, whether or not you agree with his specific examples of what needs to be improved.
I’ve learned so much from Dave by listening to this!
He’s got great advice from the perspective of the listener, and even though my show hasn’t been reviewed here, I use his critiques of others to become a better podcaster.
This is good stuff!
If you go to his website he charges $499 for a yearly subscription to “get better at podcasting” so you already know this guy is a scam artist. And the show is exactly what you’d expect: a no-talent hack giving his necessities (very debatable) for a good podcast. I’ll save you the time, he only cares about audio quality.
The guy reviews podcasts that have both acclaim and massive followings as well as lesser known ones. This guy has the most arbitrary criteria for these shows and the patience o... more
Standing in the queue, I had just been handed my morning coffee. Headphones pumping the Rodeo into my caffeine-deprived brain. I had just taken my first sip, while listening to the Word Bin episode. Sharing the contempt for webinar, I spat with laughter as the derogatory terms flowed. Dave, this podcast is constantly a gleaming gem in a sea of free Anchor flotsam, jetsam and dross. Keep it coming!
This guy cares about pointless stuff like “audio quality” and “structure” and other check-the-box podcast “necessities.” There are barely any unique insights about the podcasts being reviewed that help listeners decide whether or not to listen to a full 1 hour+ episode (i.e. detailed background on the hosts, analysis of what the hosts actually discuss during the sampled episode, comparison to similar podcasts/blogs/YouTube channels etc.), and the use of tacky talk-radio effects are distracting a... more
