I have an issue with the episode that began with the acknowledgment of the passing of Roy Ayers, Angie Stone & Dwayne Wiggins. Journalist turned journalism prof here, so I have to correct the naming of the “media” as the Third Estate. The press - via the First Amendment - is referred to as the FOURTH ESTATE and is the considered the watchdog of the other three - which is why Trump and crew push so hard to discredit it. Great show, but I prefer when there are four hosts and especially when the ladies are in. I often question Myles’s takes, especially in terms of the criticism surrounding politics that he may not be an expert of. At times, I think there is far too much generalization of Black and queer experiences, which may leave folks feeling alienated. His candor is deeply appreciated.
