  • And now… Johnathan Haidt

This show claims to be progressive but can’t find their way to criticize most centrist people with a D next to their name. I used to suffer through this show. Instead of actually supporting real meaningful reforms to our online life, they platform Johnathan Haidt. Yeah, no. Hard pass. Would give one star but Jane Coaston is actually good at her job. I just don’t think she should platform such evil people, and maybe she should criticize more democrats that just Fetterman

  • What a Day

I love starting my morning with this podcast. It keeps me current on most issues. I have been listening for a while now and though I enjoyed the old hosts Jane is great and injects just enough humor to make all the dreadful things she reports tolerable.

  • What????????

What do you mean Israel is not why we went into Iraq. All the false intelligence we got about why we went into Iraq was given to us by Israel they are not our friend but this is a state not antisemitism and they told is the same lies to get us to go into Iran. Also Epstein was working for Israel too not racist just facts.

  • Jane makes my weekday mornings

Keeping track of the news is especially overwhelming these days. I love my daily dose of Jane. I find myself cackling at her asides and delivery. Her snark is a refreshing contrast to the daily mayhem and constitutional crisis that is happening every day.

  • Missing the old format

I’m not sure why the headlines format changed. I miss getting a quick blurb on several topics. This used to save me from having to spend too much time on the daily news but now I need an additional source.

Conservatism's Biggest Conference Was Missing Its Star
Q: What is CPAC typically like and who attends?
CPAC traditionally gathers activists, donors, and media-ready figures aligned with conservative causes, evolving from Reagan-era insurgency to a MAGA-dominated gathering with a focus on visibility rather than broad policy debate.
USPS Needs Congress' Stamp Of Approval
Q: What options did the Postmaster General propose to Congress?
Allow higher postage, expand borrowing authority beyond $15 billion, and pursue pension and retiree health benefit reforms to better fund operations.
USPS Needs Congress' Stamp Of Approval
Q: What caused the Postal Service to face a financial crunch?
A combination of declining mail volume since 2008, higher demands with six-day delivery, and pension/retiree health pre-funding requirements creating a funding gap.
The Great Social Media Reckoning
Q: So the background that's crucial to understand here is that any normal consumer product, a company that makes money off of kids, if their product has defective design and it hurts kids, they can be sued for damage.
Yes, and the point is that Section 230 has insulated platforms from many types of liability, creating a regulatory gap that this case attempts to address, pushing for a system where companies must prove their products are safe for children before widespread deployment.
SCOTUS Takes On Birthright Citizenship
Q: Can you walk us through what the administration's case is here that isn't True Social posts?
Melissa Murray explains that the 14th Amendment's Citizenship Clause clearly grants birthright citizenship to those born in the U.S. with limited exceptions, and that the administration's arguments rely on a selective reading of history and original intent, which do not align with the settled interpretation.
