  • Host is unlistenable

Wow this person is such a tough listen…she needs to just talk instead of each sentence needing 4 quirky adjectives , a bad cringey joke and the voice she uses when she’s quoting someone she disagrees with…if the pod guys wanted to alienate young men show them this host! She made me want to go vote for a republican she’s everything wrong with the Democratic Party just speak like a normal person

  • Host is not the best.

It’s annoying that you’re starting the podcast in the middle of conversations. It feels wrong, like an editing error.

  • Preview Intro

Hi! Change is hard lol. Getting use to the afternoon format. I’m sure the quick quote from the middle of the episode works for video, but not so much for audio. Please consider going back to starting with Jane’s intro and breakdown.

  • New Drop Time ET

I love the show and so happy with the drop time change to around 4-5pm ET. It has the most updated in-depth coverage available. Better than a lot of daily newscasts. Thanks, Jane!

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

A Woman Could Be South Carolina's Next Senator
Q: What makes you think voters in a red state would support a Democrat like you?
Because I am a pediatrician, a mom of three public school kids, and I bring a different lived experience and a focus on real-world healthcare solutions, which resonates with independents and non-MAGA Republicans who want practical governance over partisan conflict.
Lindsey Graham's Sister Picked To Complete His Senate Term
Q: What does Lindsey Graham's death mean for the Senate's ability to move legislation and maintain party cohesion?
His absence removes a steady conduit between Trump and a slim GOP majority, likely slowing or complicating efforts that relied on his persuasion and access to lawmakers across the aisle.
Where Does Maine Go Post-Platner?
Q: What were those initial exciting conversations like that you had with women who were supportive of Platner?
Traister describes how, initially, many women in Maine saw potential in Platner due to his progressive rhetoric on issues like trans rights and immigration, which contrasted with national stereotypes about male candidates; the excitement was built on vision and policy rather than appearance or stereotypes.
What Happens When Trump's Lawyer Becomes America's Lawyer
Q: Before Trump, how did past AGs understand their relationship with the president?
The guest explains that AGs used to be seen as equals with a seat at the table but still serving at the pleasure of the president, not as subordinates.
What Happens When Trump's Lawyer Becomes America's Lawyer
Q: Are you in President Trump's friends?
Blanche responds that he was Trump's lawyer, and now serves as Deputy Attorney General, emphasizing that they are not enemies and discussing the transition of roles.
