  • Love the Fit Bits Series!

Really loved the Fit Bits ep Coach Charlotte did on training fasted/pre-workout nutrition/LEA. I like the Fit Bits bc I can listen a few times and really absorb the information! Love that the evidence is in the show notes too - can always trust the information from PD ✅

  • Muscle series: 10/10

I have learned so much about how to have better posture & properly train from the muscle series! One of the biggest takeaways was the focus on eccentric (or downward) movement- taking your time through each rep to make sure you’re not using momentum instead of muscle. Thank you both for taking the time to go over each muscle group so in depth.

  • Informative

I have learned so many new things for training and for life from Sue and Alex. I’ve even re-listened to a few and that almost never happens with other podcasts. I like both of the personalities and like how they get to the point in the show and don’t add too much fluff. They're easy to listen to and can’t wait for new ones!

Talking Points

College vs Pro Sports, How We Fell in Love, & the Part of 75 Hard That Sucks the Most | PD Podcast Ep.270
Q: How did they meet and fall for each other?
They describe meeting somewhat accidentally through mutual friends at an event, followed by a sequence of thoughtful, respectful interactions and shared interests, including fitness and work ethic, which gradually built attraction and led to dating despite initial complications in their personal lives.
College vs Pro Sports, How We Fell in Love, & the Part of 75 Hard That Sucks the Most | PD Podcast Ep.270
Q: Should your sister make more vegan banana bread?
They affirm that making more vegan banana bread is a thoughtful, kind gesture, and the broader takeaway is that small, personal acts of care can strengthen relationships, just as consistent, compassionate communication strengthens the coaching relationship.
Regaining Your Menstrual Cycle, Dairy vs Your Diet, & Achieving Fat Loss After 40 | PD Podcast Ep.260
Q: Fat loss after 40
They describe a multi-factor approach: assess hormonal function, thyroid function, sleep quality, and stress; account for postpartum history and multiple children; consider GLP-1s as a tool rather than a crutch; and emphasize the need for training and nutrition guidance to sustain fat loss after medication changes. They also discuss overcoming myths about menopause and maintaining muscle and bone density with resistance training.
Regaining Your Menstrual Cycle, Dairy vs Your Diet, & Achieving Fat Loss After 40 | PD Podcast Ep.260
Q: What happens when you are physically seeing changes weekly, but the scale barely moves and I'm also eating in a calorie deficit?
The hosts point out that body composition changes and scale changes do not always move in lockstep; frequent weighing helps build a clearer trend, and the definition of 'barely moving' must be contextualized by the depth of the deficit, time in deficit, training stimulus, sleep, and cycle phase. They caution against rushing extreme leanness, especially when conception might be a goal, and stress the need for nuance in interpreting data.
Regaining Your Menstrual Cycle, Dairy vs Your Diet, & Achieving Fat Loss After 40 | PD Podcast Ep.260
Q: is there a benefit of drinking A2 milk or any certain fat percentage versus dairy free diets?
They explain that A2 milk may be easier to digest for some and that the type of dairy (A2 vs A1) can influence gut comfort; they also discuss that dairy itself is not inherently bad or universally harmful and that dairy-free may be appropriate for individuals who notice adverse symptoms. The emphasis is on personal tolerance and sustainable eating rather than dogmatic avoidance.
