I hate that this podcast even needed to be made at all, but it was so thought-provoking and well done. Hearing the real story of what happened in 2013, and hearing from different perspectives was riveting. This is a fascinating story told, in part, from the perspective of a mother who lost her son in Yarnell Hill Fire. It’s a deep dive into a tragedy that rocked a small community and captured the national headlines. Deborah achieves at once, a demonstration of her emotional vulnerability and a detachment that allows her to ask probing questions of what went wrong in her son’s death. I would highly recommend this podcast!
