  • More solo episodes please!

I love the show, guest episodes included. However…. I would LOVE more solo episodes!

I love the more low-key, reflective vibe they have.

Sometimes I have a hard time listening to guest episodes if they have a bad mic or the volumes are mismatched, I’ve never skipped a solo ep.

  • Lost credibility

The latest podcast lost me in the first 10 minutes. Suggesting cancer in random and there isn’t much you can do to prevent it is 1980’s talk. Such a shame.

  • Thank You

I cannot thank Caroline enough for her podcast. It is, without doubt, the most helpful podcast I’ve come across relating to anxiety. I have just listened to the episode where she talks about her struggles with depression and anxiety because of her little boy’s own struggles, and I was moved to tears. I can relate so much to what she talks about and I thank her for making me feel that it’s okay to acknowledge that parenting isn’t something that we have to put a brave face on and pretend that we’r... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Why anxiety shows up in your body + virtual reality treatment approaches
Q: Is VR treatment ready for broader use beyond research stages, and how does it actually teach the mind-body to respond differently?
VR is an evidence-based treatment in certain contexts, used alongside therapists; it creates exposure and alternative mind-body states, helping patients experience and rehearse new responses in safe, controlled environments, which can then translate to real-world behavior.
Why anxiety shows up in your body + virtual reality treatment approaches
Q: But in your experience, would you say that anxiety is more of a body-first experience or a cognitive-first experience? Or is that even the right way to think about it?
It's most useful to view it as one integrated system; the mind and body influence each other, and it's the interplay between interoception, cognition, and neural pathways that shapes anxiety rather than a single starting point.
When anxiety narrows your world: adaptive or avoidant?
Q: Can you explain what you mean by the narrowing and why it happens?
The narrowing is a combination of physiological fight-or-flight responses and the cognitive focus on threat, which makes us zero in on whatever is triggering anxiety. It's a protective mechanism, but it can become maladaptive if it becomes the default mode.
Generalised Anxiety: Rosemary MacCabe shares her story
Q: How has life been since you had your first?
Since having her first child, Rosemary describes adjusting to a slower pace of life and managing anxieties related to motherhood and her background.
Anxiety deep dive with Millie Mackintosh
Q: Who is this book for?
Millie describes the book as being for anyone feeling stuck in a destructive cycle with alcohol and hoping to empower them to make positive changes.
