An ADHD coach would advise David to write down his comments first so not to interrupt his guests. But keep to the point at hand!

There’s a lot of useful information that his guests can teach us. But his interjections are often unnecessarily distracting! ... more

Overcoming the Wall of Awful- Peak Performance Strategies for the ADHD Brain
Q: How does lack of clarity contribute to the Wall of Awful, and what can people do about it?
Lack of clarity fuels anxiety and a sense of powerlessness; asking questions and seeking explicit directives can reduce uncertainty and empower action, even if the news isn't what you want to hear.
Overcoming the Wall of Awful- Peak Performance Strategies for the ADHD Brain
Q: Would you just kind of describe the Wall of Awful and why it may resonate with busy professionals and adults with ADHD?
Brendan explains that the Wall of Awful is the emotional toll from repeated difficulty with a task, where negative emotions accumulate like bricks, making it hard to engage; understanding this wall helps people address the emotional and cognitive barriers blocking productivity.
Rediscovering Joy and Balance After an Adult ADHD Diagnosis
Q: How can someone begin to unlearn masking and build a healthier relationship with work?
Meghan emphasizes honesty about one's needs, engaging with coaches or mentors who understand ADHD, and rethinking success through the lens of quality of life and meaningful connections rather than purely chasing achievement.
Rediscovering Joy and Balance After an Adult ADHD Diagnosis
Q: What actionable steps can someone take if they resonate with burnout and ADHD?
The guest highlights medication/support, building AI-assisted backends to organize content and goals, and establishing strict boundaries around devices and hours as central tactics to regain control and reduce overwhelm.
Rediscovering Joy and Balance After an Adult ADHD Diagnosis
Q: Was it the way you conducted business? Was it a more holistic type of understanding of yourself?
Meghan explains adapting her operating system to align work with her life, recognizing the importance of boundaries, and focusing on what truly moves the needle rather than chasing every opportunity.
