Want to give a shout out and thanks to the Podcast and specifically Tom Nelson, Tom Gobin and also Joe Pyburn. My father Lonnie grew up with Tom Nelson and Tom Gobin. Tom N. was kind enough to invite my Dad out in the new Duckworth Atlas to fish for Coho, he had a blast and learned a ton! I had asked my dad if both Toms and Joey wouldn’t mind signing my best flasher for good luck and they did and I just wanted to reach out and say thanks. It means the world that you guys are willing to pass the ... more
Is because these guys and others like them come across as self righteous d!ckh3@ds. I’m a BHA member and I voted for our former governor 3 times. Do I agree with everything he did? No. Worst Governor ever? Hardly. At least we can take comfort that in the future we won’t have hunting seasons because all the national forests have burned down.
Love the show and love the podcast! no fluff, just facts, tips, and tactics that work! Recently, Joey gave me some tips on rigging an anchovy in a helmet in regards to the trailing hook leader length… His advice was spot on! when it comes to fishing bait, Joey is one of the best there is on the Puget Sound! Love the info gentlemen, keep up the great work with the podcast and radio show! See you on the water! - Dan Keller, @mymortgageguydan
This is one of the best shows in the Pacific Northwest for hunting and fishing. They always give awesome and detailed information, that actually helps get you out hunting and fishing. Tons of great guests and guide information as well. A must listen for any outdoors enthusiasts in Washington state.
Having grown up with fishing, this show gets the old ticker thumping when there’s a radio fish on! I’m a loyal listener!

Two hosts provide a Saturday morning mix of practical fishing and hunting tips, gear talk, and Northwest wildlife policy along with guests who range from professional anglers and lodge operators to industry advocates and policymakers. Episodes frequently center on Puget Sound and Pacific Northwest fisheries, season openings, gear demonstrations, and regulatory or funding developments that affect access and enforcement. A notable pattern is the blend of hands-on technique, live demonstrations, and community-oriented trips or events, with occasional sports crossovers and hunting discussions keeping the tone approachable and entertaining. The show stands out for its long-running, action-oriented audience focus, hands-on gear chatter (from live... more
