Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

The Very Model Of A Modern Attorney General: Matt Platkin
Q: What were you thinking when you decided to pursue public service over a private firm track?
I knew I wanted to go into public service from early on; I gained practical experience in Washington and San Antonio, which reinforced that public service was my calling and that I'd return to New Jersey to contribute to the state.
The Very Model Of A Modern Attorney General: Matt Platkin
Q: So tell us about your background and upbringing.
I grew up in New Jersey, spent formative time in Morris County and nearby towns, and remained deeply tied to New Jersey. Early influences included my father's legal career and public service, which shaped my path toward law and public service.
Build Windmills, Not Walls: Michael Gerstenzang
Q: What do you think about the billable hour model?
The billable hour model creates misalignment and inefficiency; I hope AI will help change that.
Build Windmills, Not Walls: Michael Gerstenzang
Q: What will AI do to hiring and employment levels in the legal field?
We are not shrinking our class sizes, but we will increase hiring of data scientists and technologists.
Build Windmills, Not Walls: Michael Gerstenzang
Q: What inspired you to enter firm leadership?
It was accumulation of smaller experiences over time rather than a specific program or inspiration.
