  • Listening to the Q&A with Neal about Glycine. Makes zero mention of the list of benefits including protecting muscle and collagen, reducing osteoarthritis, blood sugar control, nervous system regulation, inflammation, oxidative stress, digestion, and amazing sleep benefits. Dismisses it as only beneficial for those with stroke or schizophrenia. Speaking of misinformed.

3412: Should You Gain Weight Before Building Muscle? The Set Point Theory and Losing Fat Cells on Building Muscle Effectively
Q: Hi, Dr. Neal. Thank you so much for your podcast, which I appreciate immensely. I have a question regarding my son. He is 25 years old, very tall, until recently very skinny, and now he wants to gain muscle and is trying to fatten up.
The host explains that gaining weight beyond daily caloric needs is not necessary; instead, meeting caloric needs with nutrient-dense foods while maintaining a resistance training program is recommended.
