  • A Great perspective on RunDisney weekends!!!

AJ and Erika give a great insight on RunDisney with their great knowledge from themselves and awesome guest. I started listening last year while I was training for my 1st Dopey trying to soak in all that great knowledge they shared not just about running but information surrounding the races, transportation, dinning, expo, hotels, that you kind of forget during the training that can make or break a race weekend. After listening to Carissa Galloway she said something regarding to men in their 30/... more

  • Supportive, Informative & Inspiring

Listening to One More Run has been a blast. It’s a great mix of host-only episodes and episodes with RunDisney friends and icons. AJ and Erika are just as encouraging in-person as they are on the podcast, as witnessed on the bus back to the resort after Springtime Surprise when they cheered for everyone for the accomplishment. Holy smokes- season 3 has started off with a bang - feeling so inspired from their conversation with Riley and bringing in training check-in’s from some listeners. I look ... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Ep 59 - Don't stress about your pace, enjoy the race (with special Guest Dr. Ali Marty)
Q: What exactly is the minimum pace and who are the Balloon Ladies?
The minimum pace is 16 minutes per mile starting from the start line, and the Balloon Ladies serve as the visual sweep of that pace, marking the end of the course for the slowest finishers.
Ep 57 - Reducing the risk of injury (with special guest, Vikash Sharma DPT)
Q: When should a runner include strength training in the week?
If you're running three days a week, you can stack a strength session with a run on a high-demand day, ensuring enough time between sessions and not pairing hard workouts directly around tempo runs.
Ep 57 - Reducing the risk of injury (with special guest, Vikash Sharma DPT)
Q: How important is strength training for runners?
Strength training is very important; runners should emphasize heavy strength work (roughly 80-85% of 1RM) with low reps, include single-leg work, then progress to double-limb lifts, and weave plyometrics to bridge to running performance.
Ep 57 - Reducing the risk of injury (with special guest, Vikash Sharma DPT)
Q: What's the most common thing you see in runners as injuries?
The most common presentation tends to be patellofemoral pain (runner's knee) and Achilles-related issues, with bone stress injuries fluctuating seasonally; symptoms depend on training load and form.
Ep 54 - Stories from the start line (with special guest, Riley Clermont)
Q: What does it look and feel like to interview thousands of runners in the corrals?
Riley describes a balance between time constraints and seizing meaningful moments, focusing on quick, authentic questions to elicit short, compelling stories that resonate with the crowd while keeping the show on track.
