Seriously. I was diagnosed with OCD as a child. Therapists love to talk about my emotions and (bad) childhood as well as push me towards medication. Now, after 3.5 years on Zoloft, I tapered and quit. Last dose was 8 weeks ago, and my brain is on fire trying to adjust. OCD quickly worked its way back into my life more powerful than ever. I have recently started listening to this podcast, and Chris boils down the concepts and material in a compelling and easy to digest fashion. The podcast lives up to its name—straight talk about OCD. He is clearly an expert with extensive practical experience treating OCD and anxiety spectrum disorders. He has helped me to realize that compulsions are key to keeping the OCD system alive and that compulsions are a choice. I highly recommend this podcast to anyone seeking recovery from OCD.
