I listen to Now, Were We when I’m out on my walks in the middle of nowhere which is slightly to the east of Warrington. I very often find myself laughing out loud to the anecdotes and jokes told by the very best raconteurs including Danny Baker, Stephen
Fry, Miriam Margolyes, and Joe Brown. There’s also a huge amount of name dropping so really, what’s not to like.

This podcast had me laughing out loud in public wearing headphones. Such a treat to be a fly on the wall while some of the funniest people around weave their tales. I’ve listened to them over and over and they still make me laugh. What a tragedy it had to end so soon. RIP Barry Cryer and thanks for all the laughs.
