    I call it Rhlstp!

How does Richard Herring fit it all in? He seems to be sharing new material with us day in, day out. I enjoy it when he brings elements from his other podcasts, too. Richard is a podcasting veteran, and as a result, listeners can expect quality.

Thank you for introducing us to so many comedians over the years.

  • Award-Winning Comedy/Interview Pod

The original ‘comedian talking to a guest’ pod and still the best. For 15 years RHLSTP has set the benchmark as guests including Bob Mortimer, Michael Palin, James Acaster talk candidly.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

David Quantick and Chris Barker on The Lost Films of Hollywood - Book Club
Q: What is The Lost Films of Hollywood about in your own words?
David explains that it's a book built around a premise of remaking classic films as if they were created in different eras, then translating those ideas into striking poster art that preserves the original's vibe while delivering a playful, alternative history.
Jenny Eclair (Retro) - "Hi di Hi"
Q: What's it like aging in the industry and still finding new audiences?
Richard and Jenny acknowledge that podcasting offers a unique, intimate platform where aging artists can speak frankly, reach new fans, and stay creatively relevant without the traditional gatekeepers of major broadcasting, all while managing the emotional toll of public scrutiny.
Lucy Porter - "Beating Leonardo at Poker"
Q: What happened with the One Zone advert Lucy Porter referenced?
They discussed a mobile-phone ad Lucy did that involved a fox motif and a punchline about the seman's line, which Porter's memory links to how the campaign was perceived and paid differently back then. The anecdote highlighted the money involved and how it shaped her career decisions.
Richard Osman (Retro) - "The Oldest Person In Scotland"
Q: Let's talk a little bit about Pointless. How many episodes have you done on Pointless now?
Richard Osman notes they're approaching a 10th anniversary and that there have been around 1500 episodes including celebrity ones, highlighting the show's longevity and consistency.
Sophie Duker (Retro) - "Sploshing"
Q: You've talked about touring and the economics of it; what challenges do you face on the road?
She talks about frugal accommodations, the difficulty of sustaining a tour financially, and the balance between touring ambitions and the reality of ticket sales, while also sharing humorous anecdotes from different cities.
