Nocturne - A Homebrew Unknown Armies Actual Play

I was expecting a play or story. it is group of people talking about developing a script for as story. it is mostly one prrson asking each of the others to contribute to a story line. There is a lot of dead time as they talk about minor details for the story they are developing.

This is one of the worst podcasts ever.

Tablestory has always been my favorite for these types of stories. PB is a masterful DM/GM and let's her cast do what they do best. Make sure to check out Gone, Cerebral Project and Tidal Blades which she also does. But everything from Tablestory is great!

Nocturne is truly one of the most incredible narrative performances I’ve ever had the pleasure of witnessing. I found my way to it through the Radio Winden/Dark Companion Podcast (also a 5 star podcast, but a whole different beast). I was floored and instantly hooked!

This was a unique experience for me and will be for you regardless of whether you are familiar with D&D or not. The cast is 10/10, made me laugh, cry and sometimes yell into the abyss of my empty house with joy and frustration. The story weaving that Pumpkinberry has woven made this an experience I will never forget, what an genius. Finally the music was ties everything together so well bringing out the best in the scenes and characters. Thank you everyone who was involved.

I am so glad that I discovered this podcast. I have a hard time stopping listening to it. The host and the cast do a tremendous job, and I can't recommend it enough.

I have never heard a podcast like this. I don't know if there's a podcast like this anywhere else. Absolutely incredible, in all the grossest and best ways.

I'm blown away by how good this is. It's like a mixture of Dark, Groundhog's Day, and Supernatural. The GM does a fantastic job and so does the cast, providing a surprising amount of depth to their characters over time.

It is a rare, but marvelous thing to find a show where you connect so deeply with the characters that the story regularly brings you to tears. It is especially almost nonexistent for that that show to be a ttrpg actual play. I love a good drama that leads to emotional catharsis and I can definitively say I've not found a TV show or movie to match Nocturne on that score. I've watched Nocturne few months after the last episode went live, so I couldn't experience all this hype which was made around each and every episode (people are insane when PB runs a show, amount of support and fanarts is mindblowing) but I can tell - you won't find anything even similar to PB's creations out there. This was actaully my first time consuming a Tabletop production and holy hell did it drag me in. It shrouds you in mysteries/emotions/laughs. The cast beatufiully bounces of each other and are so fluid with scenes you almost forget it's even a Tabletop production. The GM perfectly ties events together that give off the feeling of awe and excitment that truly make the events seem real.
