The interviews, particularly the father, were just awful, the daughter was only marginally better. The questions Mr. Shattner asked were embarrassing and served to highlight how completely unprepared for the interview he was. If you’re not going to make the effort to prepare properly and thoroughly, don’t waste the time of t... more

  • So far, so great!

To be able to have such frank discussions regarding Cancer, death, spirituality and Quantum(!) and to handle it in such a beautiful, thought provoking way is a hat trick and they pulled it off gorgeously. Truly looking forward to future episodes.

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

What Dying Taught Me About Living
Q: How did your cultural and familial expectations influence your illness and healing journey?
She explains years of indoctrination to seek approval and the pressure to subside into subservience, which she came to see as part of the illness that contributed to her fear; the turnaround came with recognizing her true self and choosing to live authentically.
What Dying Taught Me About Living
Q: What was the moment you realized you could come back to your body and continue living?
Anita describes her sense that her purpose was not yet fulfilled, guided by a presence (often interpreted as a parental figure) that encouraged her to return and live fearlessly, which reframed her understanding of life and purpose.
Why We Get Triggered
Q: How does early life programming influence how we experience stress later in life?
Early experiences shape the brain's processing apparatus and the family emotional system, which affects how events are interpreted and how triggers flood the nervous system; becoming conscious of these patterns is central to changing responses to stress.
Why We Get Triggered
Q: What is the core distinction between acute stress and chronic stress?
Acute stress is a short-term, adaptive response that heightens alertness and readiness, while chronic stress perpetually activates stress hormones, leading to immune suppression and increased risk of disease; the processing of events determines how stress feels and affects us.
