  • Wow, this is exceptional

I listened to several episodes before posting this review to make sure- but the Niche Pursuits podcast is exceptional.

Business podcasts, especially those made for bloggers, can get away with rambling hosts, annoying tangents, and poor production quality. But Niche Pursuits clearly puts in the work to prep their guests, bloggers’ biggest pain points/questions, stay on track, and edit well.

I learned a whole lot about how to improve my blog and business through this podcast.

  • Great content and reminders!

I seldom comment, but I have to say that this was one of the better podcasts as far as the content and just the reminders of how to approach your “business” overall. I hope that your guest is able to come back again soon and share even more tips.

Also, thanks to you for such great questions!

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

How Kevin Surace Built 95 Patents with Decades of AI Experience
Q: What does it mean to be AI-first in practice?
It means integrating AI into daily workflows and decision-making, using AI multiple times per hour, and shifting the sense of purpose toward delivering outcomes rather than detailing every step of the process.
How Kevin Surace Built 95 Patents with Decades of AI Experience
Q: How important is market timing in entrepreneurial success?
Market timing is a key predictor of success; even a strong team and good product can fail if the market isn't ready, whereas being late in a fast-moving space can still work if timing aligns.
How Carrie Forrest Lost 80% of Traffic and Rebuilt Her Blog
Q: What are you focusing on now to stabilize and grow again?
I'm focusing on strong email marketing, updating and republishing evergreen content, building content clusters around audience interests, leveraging short-form video strategically via Mediavine, and expanding use of higher-margin private affiliate partnerships.
How Carrie Forrest Lost 80% of Traffic and Rebuilt Her Blog
Q: Could you recap what changed with AI and how it affected your traffic and revenue?
AI and AI overviews started replacing traditional recipe content in search results, leading Google to surface AI-generated answers rather than well-tested blogger recipes, which caused about an 80% drop in traffic and a corresponding revenue decline.
How Christopher Gimmer Grew Snappa to $1.5M ARR and Built His Next Startup
Q: Tell us a little bit about yourself, maybe a little backstory, so we can get started on what we're going to be talking about today.
Christopher shares that he started in finance, moved to online business and SEO after reading The Four-Hour Workweek, and teamed up with his co-founder Mark to launch StockSnap and then Snappa, eventually quitting their full-time jobs to pursue entrepreneurship full-time.
