  • Wonderful!

Love this podcast and find it very thoughtful and insightful. The episode with Kira Asatryan was good but her affected vocal fry was very difficult to listen to. It’s interesting, when Kira is speaking authentically, it’s beautiful but it changes into this affected nuance at other points in the convo. Makes me wonder if this is when she doubts herself.

The Power of Trees and Chanting to Heal with Shannon Sullivan - ND3704
Q: What questions should someone begin with to start healing the wounds of their ancestors?
Her guidance is to start with bodily feelings, discern what is truly theirs, and use questions to move into difficult emotions to release them and regain joy.
The Power of Trees and Chanting to Heal with Shannon Sullivan - ND3704
Q: Can you describe that moment, that opening of that door, that pivotal moment?
She describes a turning point involving massage training and an energetic awareness that led her to explore energy work, Reiki, and related modalities.
The Power of Trees and Chanting to Heal with Shannon Sullivan - ND3704
Q: First of all, why is it important, Shannon, to go back into our ancestral roots?
Shannon explains that exploring family history helps reveal how trauma and conditioning are transmitted across generations, enabling forgiveness, healing, and a more authentic way of living.
Exploring the Hidden Kingdom of Fungi - Merlin Sheldrake, Ph.D. - ND3705
Q: What is the significance of the wood-wide web metaphor, and are there limits to it?
The wood-wide web helps conceptualize interconnectedness but can mislead if it implies fungi are passive cables; in reality every link is an active organism with a life of its own, and the metaphor should not mask this agency.
Exploring the Hidden Kingdom of Fungi - Merlin Sheldrake, Ph.D. - ND3705
Q: How do scientists study fungi when their living networks are mostly hidden underground?
Scientists use microscopes to observe roots, microcosm lab studies, labeling with radioactive tracers, and increasingly real-time observation of networks, while acknowledging that lab conditions differ from the complex soil environment.
