  • Wonderful!

Love this podcast and find it very thoughtful and insightful. The episode with Kira Asatryan was good but her affected vocal fry was very difficult to listen to. It’s interesting, when Kira is speaking authentically, it’s beautiful but it changes into this affected nuance at other points in the convo. Makes me wonder if this is when she doubts herself.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Living With Radical Aliveness - Richard Moss, M.D. - ND3858
Q: What do you mean by living in the mandala center and being in the now without negating action?
Being present does not cancel action; it reframes action as grounded in a serene, spacious, focused state. From this center, choices arise from a clear sense of self and presence, rather than fear or reactivity.
Serene Readiness in Challenging Times - Eric Maisel, Ph.D. - ND3857
Q: How can someone stay motivated to keep momentum on serene readiness amid life's distractions?
Keep a personal compass of life purposes and a simple life-philosophy phrase, align daily actions to that list, and rely on a short toolkit (breathing, memory cues, progress checklists) to maintain momentum.
Serene Readiness in Challenging Times - Eric Maisel, Ph.D. - ND3857
Q: What does serenity mean in practical terms for someone dealing with daily anxiety?
Serenity is about owning one or two concrete tools—such as a visual mental room, a consistent breathing phrase, or a brief cognitive shift—that calm you in the moment, even when something unexpected happens.
The Power of Poetry in Uncertain Times - Jane Hirshfield - ND3702
Q: How should one listen to a poem or receive a poem according to you?
Poems should invite expansive thinking, not bully readers; they should offer space, silence, and musicality that broaden our view rather than preach.
How Words Can Change the Outcome of a Crisis Situation - Judith Simon Prager, Ph.D. - ND3700
Q: Can you share a memorable moment where verbal first aid made a tangible difference in a crisis?
A firefighter recounts calming a mother and child after a car crash, where simply saying 'I'm here, help is on the way' helped reduce trauma and kept the family emotionally connected while responders worked to free them.
