I love this podcast and these two ladies. The stories the Chaplin tells are so heartwarming and beautiful. You would think stories about death would be so sad and yes they are but they are so comforting at the same time. Give it a chance you’ll be just as addicted as I am.
This podcast has been so comforting during the death of my parents. Peggy and Nikki are empathetic, gentle, enlightening and funny. Please bring it back as I believe more people will be encouraged by their content. More than five stars. Thank you
I’m a retired RN who has done hospice volunteering. I love this podcast as I have witnessed many similar things. Even more it makes me want to return to hospice volunteering! Please continue this podcast with another season!
Close to running out of backlog and needing so much more of this
I like action thrillers, science fiction, and historical badassery. I weep every single time I listen to this show. The previous two statements are unrelated. Please listen to Near Death.
Oh I wish you both were my actual friends! I want to listen to you both every day! I found this podcast right when I needed it. It has really helped me reframe the death of my brother and process my grief. Love you both so much! (So weird to say that about random podcast hosts but it’s true!)
Peggy, I wish we were actual friends—how I love listening to your stories and perspectives. Your kindness, strength and calm stand out as a beacon for those experiencing something awful or sad…and have reached all the way over here and into my headphones and helped me get quiet enough again to revisit and sit with some still tender spots of old grief I’ve been ignoring and avoiding. Both of you are lovely and easy to listen to—so much so that I ugly cried for the almost entire dog episode and ... more
I love this podcast. I want Peggy with me when I die. She is so comforting. I experienced many of the things in this podcast when my mom passed. She saw her dad and her childhood cat prior to becoming unconscious. After she passed her face glowed. She looked so beautiful. We only had 5 weeks with her after being diagnosed. It was an honor catching for her at home. My only regret was that I wasn’t with her when she took her last breath. I believe that she didn’t want me to be to protect me. I’m n... more
I am in love with this podcast! It brings you to sobbing tears, makes you laugh, and leaves you with a sense of awe. Being able to hear these truly magical stories from Rev. Peggy about what she has witnessed and how she has helped people in life and their last moments is so incredibly inspiring. Nicki and Peggy are a dynamic duo of depth and soul. Cannot recommend enough!
Not only does this podcast make my laugh, cry, and think, but it also changed the way I experience the time I spend with my mother. She is on year three of hospice care and it has been a journey for both of us. I am hungry for helpful information and tips for living near death for so long. This podcast has been a source of joy, thought, and comfort. Thank you.
These two ladies are just amazing! I can’t get enough of their conversations, experiences and insights!
I hate to admit that I joined this party late, but once I finally listened, I was HOOKED! Nikki and Reverend Peggy are a total vibe. Can’t wait for season 2!
Nikki and Peggy are just so endearing. These stories are amazing and I can’t wait every week for the new episode to come out. They have made the topic of death seem so much more approachable and have prompted me to start conversations about it with loved ones. I can’t wait for season 2 and hope it releases soon!
