  • Very nice topic

I actually like this pod quite a lot. It’s very constructive to learn from mistakes others have made and I believe that’s the greatest way to keep learning. My only minus is the sound quality of the records, it’s a little bit tiresome with the noise. But all in all it’s good.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

David Siegel – The Agentic Economy: Why AI Agents Will Redefine Work and Wealth
Q: By the way, when you say agent, what does that mean?
An agent is an AI-enabled system that can act outside of conversation by interfacing with other services via APIs or through direct interaction with websites, essentially performing tasks on your behalf rather than just thinking or talking.
Athena Brownson – What Happens When Trust Replaces Due Diligence
Q: What is the likelihood that if somebody buys a condo in Denver, and let's say they hold it for, I don't know, 10 years, 15 years, and then they sell it, what's the likelihood that they would sell it at a price higher than what they bought it for?
It's something that comes up quite often that I have to discuss with clients because condos, especially in large metropolitan cities, like you said, are the slowest appreciating real estate investment that you can make.
Jon Ostenson – I Built a Million-Dollar Business That Never Made a Profit
Q: What are your key takeaways from your worst investment?
The importance of appreciating the franchise model and understanding when to pivot from a custom approach.
Jon Ostenson – I Built a Million-Dollar Business That Never Made a Profit
Q: What does it mean if you were to say that this particular model is profitable?
It means not having to rely on personal funds to cover business expenses and achieving a positive monthly P&L.
Edwin Endlich – Early Doesn't Always Mean Right
Q: What's one action you'd recommend our listeners take to avoid suffering the same fate?
I definitely feel like the things I've learned from the cannabis experience, I really am trying to evangelize for people to use today around this artificial intelligence conversation as well and see some of the pitfalls that we had in the early internet days of the 2000s where I think we could learn a lot from that.
