I always find a pertinent episode for something I’m facing, dealing with, celebrating, or working on that day, that week, or just as a lifetime educator. Somehow, too, the current episode often matches my needs as Jon so often has his hand on the pulse of education, right now.
Listen, learn, and feel better.

I love this podcast! The topics are always interesting and I can relate to making mistakes and more importantly correcting them. This is important show! We love it!
If you’re looking for an open and honest podcast that practices what we tell students all the dang time…. “LEARN FROM YOUR MISTAKES” then I highly recommend this podcast. Jon doesn’t sugar coat things or avoid the uneasy topics and scenarios. “My Bad” is arguably the podcast that all teachers need at least once a week.
Please update the podcast!! It’s very relatable and encouraging. It chases away my doubts and validates my decision to continue on in this profession.
Jon Harper and his My Bad podcasts introduces relevant topics and opens up discussions that have me thinking and reflecting. His guests share their experiences from a wide perspective of educators, therapists and students. Thoroughly enjoy listening and learning.
Enjoy listening to this podcast. I give a lot of credit to professionals who are able to admit and talk about their mistakes and what they’ve learned as a result. Really lends itself for some thought provoking discussions. Give this a listen and you’ll see what I mean.
Jon Harper is a master at inviting guests to share vulnerable moments so all educators can learn from and with them in each episode. Jon explores how these moments can lead to growth and excellence. This is a podcast that all educators should listen to each week.
There’s a lot you can learn from My Bad guests who are educational leaders and sometimes screwups. Admitting mistakes and personal reflection and then application of lessons leaned; each show is a case study an individual who screwed up and how he or she was able to grow personally and professionally.
Jon Harper's MY BAD podcsst is on my MUST list of listens. In a 10 minutes segment we have a front row seat podcast style to hear educators share personal professional MY BADs that led them to new understandings. The underlying message is that our mistakes are never mistatkes if we choose to learn from them. This perspective can be taught to educators, students and those in any field. !
This podcast makes me feel better about my mistakes along the way in my teaching career.
Jon Harper hits it out of the park on every episode. He finds great guests who have a wealth of knowledge. Put this on your must listen list.
This podcast fits perfectly into my daily commute. Jon does a fantastic job of reflecting on his mistakes and his guests are awesome for sharing and reflecting on their own. It helps me avoid common mistakes, reflect on my own, and really beat myself up less when I make a mistake. I now think about how I can learn and improve from each mistake and then I move forward with that lesson for improving next time.
A must for every educator! Sharing lessons learned in the classroom is a powerful tool that can help improve the experience for teachers and students alike. My Bad is a fantastic resource!!!
We all make mistakes in our professional lives, but what do we learn from them? Jon Harper does an excellent job of sharing and getting others to share those moments when they stumbled and how those stumbles changed them moving forward. Great reflective practice that applies to all aspects of life, not just education.
