  • Best Podcast for music production.

I enjoy listening and reading (5-Minute Music Producer) to me, this is the best podcast out period. I’m always going through these blocks, but when I listen to your interviews and words of wisdom, I feel inspired. I don’t immediately jump into making beats, but I feel a whole lot better and I know when I start again, I’ll be ready and inspired.

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Grammy-winning Songwriter Tim Atlas on Serving the Song
Q: What role does collaboration play in your process?
Collaboration expands what you can do; it helps you stay in the moment, brings new ideas, and often leads to a more cohesive final product than working in isolation for long periods.
Grammy-winning Songwriter Tim Atlas on Serving the Song
Q: How do you approach serving the song in a production context?
I try to keep the melody and chords at the center and make sure everything surrounding them supports that core; I avoid stacking too many ideas on top and instead focus on what serves the music, sometimes choosing a single patch or sound that does the job well.
Turning Nature into Music with Lomotor
Q: What role does storytelling play in making your music feel unique?
Storytelling guides sonic choices, from where sounds come from (like a bathroom mic or a wind sample) to the way a track is arranged, helping the listener connect through a narrative arc.
Turning Nature into Music with Lomotor
Q: How do you approach sampling in nature and environment in your music?
I sample from my world by recording nature sounds in the woods and then tweak them in Ableton, often blending them with processed guitar or other organic textures to keep a personal voice rather than relying on generic presets.
Creative Enthusiasm and Staying Inspired with Amani Roberts
Q: What strategies do you recommend to help artists finish projects rather than just start them?
Break work into small, manageable steps, celebrate small wins, use gamification or rewards, and keep a disciplined routine to move from one stage to the next until completion.
