  • Insight

There’s a lot to be learned from those who’ve gone before you. There is some great insight into the methods, aesthetic, and values of these workers in sound. I’ve gained respect for those whose tastes differ from my own and renewed admiration for those I was already in awe of. I’ve also decided to give some I had written off another listen. Overall, this podcast reminds me that there are many ways to hear and interpret sound.

Like Tape Op magazine- but Geoff Stansfield is a terrible interviewer. Uses it as an excuse to tell boring stories about himself

  • DISCusion w/ Steve Von Till

The DISCusion pod cast with Steve Von Till was excellent. I always enjoy hearing Steve’s analysis and thoughts about certain recordings. I had never gave Brian Enos No Land a good listen until now. Im glad this pod cast turned me on to that album.

  • Geoff does a great job interviewing

I meant to say something after listening to the Albert Hammond Jr interview but having just listened to the Beirut show, what a great job. I really enjoyed both and learned a lot, even having been a fan of both for a long time. Excellent job TapeOp 🤘

  • Play the music!

It’s cool to talk about music. But talking without the music to reference isn’t that cool. When you have artists on the show talking about their releases, play clips of the songs.
