We are Dave and Jake, two 60 year old music fans, and we take on a different theme per episode and pick five relevant songs each. We cover music from the 60's to now, and more or less any genre you can think of. From Punk to Pop, Reggae to Northern Soul, Drum N Bass to Ambient, if it's out there, we'll listen to it. This episode has songs about girls names, we discuss Jakes technical knowledge of music, and my lack of it, accidental metal, droney shit pumps, and lots of other stuff.
We pick a load of songs with boys names in the titles. Jake shames me for getting the episode no. wrong again, by leaving the whole conversation intact. Lots of waffle, some history, brain farts. The usual.
Lots of cool eponymous LPs, plus taglines, more ambient aromas, what's the point of collecting, and street cred, or lack of it.
We pick a load of tracks with colours in the title. Lots of going off in tangents, Stourbridge murals, mispronunciations, record store day rip offs, band t shirts. It's a good one.

Worried that it’s two men of a certain age endlessly discussing Pink Floyd? Don’t be. To friends who love music in all its forms and discuss absolutely everything. I listen on my phone whilst queuing up the songs they discuss on the computer and listen along. If you are into very specific types of music it’s probably not for you, but if you’re in to all music this podcast is well worth a listen.
