Used to be good, but now it’s just another generic how I built this business podcast. At the beginning, it was fascinating to hear issues of high net worth founders, but now it’s just people telling their business stories over and over. Also, the ads have become very heavy and clumsily edited, which is strange considering the host owns a podcast company
Really liked this pod at first but feel like it’s not that great anymore. Find myself deleting episodes often now. Maybe they just ran out of interesting people to interview. Also miss Sam on the pod. It was awesome in the beginning with him doing the interviews.
I love the topic of this podcast - real people who’ve done what a lot of us are trying to do, sharing their numbers and how they think about wealth and happiness. So good. My only two grips: 1) the editing is very rough. Multiple times in an episode someone is interpreted mid-word for an ad or a narrated transition. It blows my mind. 2) The metrics to join Hampton often differ - sometimes it’s $10M+ exit, or $3M in ARR, $2M in liquidity or $xM+ in revenue, etc.
Great work and amazing guests!
Great podcast. Frustrating when some guest turn up, take 40 minutes of our time and don’t go into the numbers.
If you go on this show you should be open to discussing them.
That “15 years doing what I hate” episode was a flop. No substance, no numbers, and what was the business???
Majority of others are brilliant
Sam Parr is amazing and his ability to find some good materials or information and turn it into something great was proven many times. The idea behind Moneywise podcast is really good, but execution is terrible. Weird music, conversations are suddenly cut with weird unnatural commentary, hosts are inconsistent…All that execution just doesn’t fit the premium level of Hampton, right now Moneywise gives more of a morning show for mass audience vibe, while it should be a targeted niche with premium ... more
