Superb reader. Brings the whole thing to life. I’m very grateful for this wonderful project and that it is in the public domain too. Thank you to all involved. (I enjoyed it more at 0.75 speed playback, as the actual recording was a little too fast for me.)
It’s an awfully boring book to read, even though I really put in all effort. I don’t believe in dnf-ing a book so I had to get through it no matter what. But this audiobook is what did it. I love the narration and it made the book a hundred times better.
I had struggled to get through this novel a few times, then I found this podcast recording and decided to read along with it. Was hands down one of the best audio book experiences I’ve had. Mr Brown’s reading is natural, expressive, and conveys the feel that this book needs. There were passages that I did not understand when I read them, but Mr Brown laid them clear as day.
Thoroughly entertaining. His Captain Ahab is not to be missed.
Very expressive rendering of a classic.
I am obsessed with Moby-Dick. Tried listening to The Big Read version of M-D but the British accents put me off. This guy has a lovely deep voice. I am so happy to find this!
