Writing this partially through the listen…
I am always amazed at how gullible people can be… 10 yrs 🙄🫣🙄🫣
Good podcast. Sadly Entertaining.
However the actual story itself is the same ‘ol same ‘ol…
No sympathy for the central character.
He was married with an expectant wife… and you still got duped and “abused”?!?!?!? And let this imaginary person stress you out… 😆😣😆😣
Next time read a book… get a hobby or a second job or something…
This is stupid. This was the most dragged out story with no point. What a waste of my time.
And who the heck goes 10 years talking to a fake person.
His voice and the way he reposts it’s outstanding.
I was very distracted with both parties , how do you let yourself get scammed like that for so long and then her dad not having her Back because he prefers to be “in good standing “ with the community. That felt so yucky and toxic . And the other nut job. I howl she was fired and her name should always be out here accompanied by all the hurt she caused .
I’m going to be honest, I questioned the main character a lot because at the beginning I had a bunch of questions I felt she should’ve had, particularly on the Witness Protection like that ‘Bobby’ created. Why did you need to take your? If you’re in witness protection, why do so many people know? Etc. And other questions in general like:
Why would you trust someone who doesn’t turn on their camera? Etc.
However I also felt like this was an incredible story and I spent 30 minutes being shocked on... more
The podcast in itself is great, very well edited and the hosts voice is very pleasant to listen to. The interviews are thorough.
It’s hard to feel any type of sympathy for the main character of the podcast though. Seems like a simple case of lack of basic Internet literacy.
