Having worked inside an Amazon for several years, I can say that the experience described here isn't uniform but it isn't hard to imagine either. The company has some brutal policies and others still which, only after getting another job did I realize, were quite progressive. That's one of the problems with the company, they can't make up their mind about whether to do right for right's sake or for deflecting criticism when they choose avarice.
Really interesting
Very informative, and consequently creepy. The stories of employee mistreatment seem shocking but believable. I understand that much of the source material is interviews with anonymous employees, but my one complaint is I would like to see a source list so I can talk more convincingly to people who aren’t as aware of Amazon’s issues.
Amazing journalism
