Our child was diagnosed with t1d in May 2020 and thanks to the MD plan her A1C is consistently 5.8/5.9, this while going through puberty and all the emotional rollercoaster of being a teenager! Since she wears a continuous glucose monitor, we can see in real life what happens to a body after eating something that’s not green/yellow light (such as a vegan pizza) and how long the post prandial hyperglycemia last! 🙁 more
