Ive just listened up to S1E9, was loving it so far until this episode. I got a suggestion - please do not invite token female guests just for the sake of having a ‘female voice’. Don’te wrong, I am female, but I just think you guys have been doing amazing work and please do invite guests (regardless of gender) that add value. In that episode, she sounded like she didn’t even want to be there (sluggish voice) nor did she even like the show (if you cant get pass a show being ‘sexist’ because it wa... more
Death of a Salesman was written by Arthur Miller, not Eugene O’Neil.
I like his companions. Guy who leads the talks is way too full of himself. Doesn’t make for great discussion.
In contrast the the other reviewer here, I really enjoy this podcast. The hosts have a nice banter and although I don’t always agree with their analysis, it’s well thought out and argued. I wish that they would sometimes do a little bit of a deeper analysis (not just why characters do the things they do, but more of the symbolism in the show), but that’s just me!
This would be a good podcast if the hosts bothered to learn the characters name and do a little research before the show so they’re not bickering over if Maggie Siff was in Scandal before realizing they were talking about another actor. Also we don’t know you guys like that talk about the show more and each other less. I keep listening because there are moments of good discussion but they could be deeper and more insightful if they were longer and not seeming afterthoughts.
