A master photographer, Ralph Sidway also thinks and speaks articulately about the art of photography, and the beauty of putting the camera aside and simply seeing.

The symbiotic chemistry of two visionary artists is both creative and personal. This comes across palpably in our three-way conversation—a particular joy.

  • Always Something Fresh to Consider

I’ve been listening to Luminous with Peter Bouteneff for a while now. I have enjoyed most every episode. It is full of fresh things to consider, often from people or angles I’ve previously missed—e.g., Scott Cairns and his discussion about the “poetic operation of language,” in which particular words or images suggest new ideas which help compositions develop. Excellent show.
