The San Francisco Giants outlasted the Washington Nationals today, 7-6, in a back-and-forth game that took 12 innings for a victor to emerge. A sketchy 9th inning by Ryan Walker allowed the Nationals to tie the game and send it to extra innings, the ... more
The San Francisco Giants had an offensive explosion tonight in the nation's capital, as they launched three home runs in the 10-5 win over the Washington Nationals. Heliot Ramos, Casey Schmitt, and Drew Gilbert each put one over the fence at National... more
The San Francisco Giants avoid the sweep with a 3-0 win, but the bigger issue remains — they still haven’t put it all together. The pattern is becoming familiar: a strong game followed by flat performances, or a late-series surge after the damage is ... more

I keep giving you another chance but it hasn’t gotten better. A huge majority of the show is spent reading, word for word, articles by Giants beat writers or other actual journalists, then giving basic obvious commentary. You aren’t adding anything new to the conversation — it feels like laziness and borderline plagiarism. I can’t listen anymore. You’ve lost me. Y’all need to raise your game.
I’m loving the new host! Allen Stiles brings the energy and passion as a Giants fan, with substantive content and timely reactions to recent SFG news. Perfect show for frustrated Giants fans longing for the team’s current streak of mediocre seasons to END. Allen’s background as a college ballplayer, radio host, and person of color (a rare combo among baseball podcasts) give him the skills to efficiently deliver solid analysis and well-supported opinions about our beloved orange and black.

The show has gone from consistently level-headed analyses to a hot take bait style format. I think Stiles would be better suited to the post game show or least needs to work on being more than a talking head.
The postcast is 15 to 30 minutes of rambling. Very little quantitative analysis. But, it is a difficult season. I get it…
