  • SEO Woes

I tried to find your podcast but had forgotten the name. A search in Apple Podcasts of SF Giants yielded twenty shows half of them defunct but not yours. Not everyone will think to type in full names of FP and SlussDog to uncover your secret cast. I no am not a fan of manipulative AI tools but they are great at solving technical issues so consult Gemini or ChatGPT and they will explain to you how to you to improve your SEO so baseball fans can easily find your show.

  • Side Arm Throws

Chapman is among the league leaders in errors the last few years because he plays way too deep and turns routine grounders into awkward charges throwing side arm across his body usually in the dirt and up the line. Bailey has a similar problem leading the league in errors with his passed balls and sidearm throws into centerfield. Adames is the leader not Chapman.

Casey Schmitt joins the show!
Q: There was a notable moment when you were told to shag in the outfield and had to order a glove quickly. How did that start your approach to handling new duties?
That moment showed me it's about being ready and adaptable on the fly; I ordered a couple of gloves to compare at home and in the game, which taught me to adjust gear and mindset quickly to stay effective.
Casey Schmitt joins the show!
Q: Casey, you're juggling DH duties with everyday outfield and infield work. How has your routine evolved to manage all of that?
I've learned to keep things simple and adapt my preparation to the day's role, using a straightforward routine like hitting off the tee when DHing and staying ready in the cage when needed, which has helped maintain consistency without overthinking.
Who's on first? Casey Schmitt out of position, 3B Chapman snapped, Devers isn't in the field - is there an issue?
Q: Do you think the team should keep Casey Schmitt at first base given his inexperience there?
The hosts discuss that Schmitt is learning on the job and that the organization needs to balance development with performance, acknowledging that first base is not easy to learn at the major league level and suggesting potential situational use of Devers at first as a workaround while Schmitt adjusts.
Who's on first? Casey Schmitt out of position, 3B Chapman snapped, Devers isn't in the field - is there an issue?
Q: Your thoughts on Chapman's reaction to Schmitt at first base yesterday?
Susan expresses that Chapman's fiery nature is part of his leadership and that the moment should be seen in the context of a long-standing relationship between the players, with mutual respect and back-up from Chapman. She also notes that learning a new position is challenging and should be supported by the team rather than sensationalized.
Splash Live! All the chatter about Daniel Susac's big night, a look at the lineup, plus favorite SF restaurants
Q: What's your take on the First Base arrangement with Devers and Encarnacion, and what's the plan moving forward?
Devers is healthy with ground balls and potential lineup reshuffling; Encarnacion gets a look at first base while Devers is managed through the road trip, suggesting a flexible approach to the position.
