  • Turn the hosts/guests volume up

KNBR has this issue for a long time with the hosts and the guests being way too quiet. I listen to the radio, other podcasts, lots of different types of media and it’s always ONLY KNBR where I have to turn my speakers waaaaaay up to hear it properly.

  • Terrible editing

All they need to do to make this a 5 star program is hire someone to properly edit. The ads are placed right in the middle of conversations and are ridiculously loud compared to the extremely quiet dialogue. It takes spending money to make a decent show

  • Obnoxious ads / Amateur sound editing

I listen for some guests. The hosts are inconsistent. Annoying ads 89% of the time.

Cumulus is actively ruining the station.

Have begun ranking other Cumulus podcasts that intrude with 1 star based on absurdly earpiercing screaming banshee voices and interruptions.

The worst part is that the guests I want to listen are often calling in by phone and the staff in the radio booth are not professional enough to balance out the audio levels. Combine this with the horrible Cumulus ads and their awf... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Dan Graziano Talks 49ers, Rams, Aaron Donald and the NFL’s Top Quarterbacks
Q: Who do you see as the top quarterback in the league this season, assuming health?
Mahomes is still the top pick overall given his track record, with a caveat about potential minor injuries but the belief that he remains the best when fully healthy.
Should the Giants Trade Luis Arraez? MLB Trade Deadline Debate & Team Outlook
Q: What should the Giants do with Luis Arraiz given the deadline proximity?
The hosts present two main options: trade Arraiz for a substantial haul to maximize value, or keep him and try to extend him, potentially later negotiating with the market advantages in mind.
Susan Slusser on Luis Arraez, Robbie Ray and the Giants’ Trade Deadline Strategy
Q: What's the sense on Robbie Ray's market and how might he fit with the Giants at the deadline?
Robbie Ray is viewed as an experienced, competitive starter whose market remains robust at the deadline due to pitching demand; he could be a high-value add for a contender, though the Giants will weigh his contract length and cost against the long-term plan focusing on younger pitching and organizational depth.
Susan Slusser on Luis Arraez, Robbie Ray and the Giants’ Trade Deadline Strategy
Q: What kind of haul could the Giants get for Luis Arraez at the trade deadline, given how teams value infielders with elite on-base skills?
The panel suggests Arraez would fetch a substantial return but notes it's complicated by the open-market dynamic and the presence of other top infielders. If a team wants to lock in offensive value immediately, a package centered on young players and pitching depth could be appealing, but the market will depend on contending teams' needs and long-term planning.
Dan Graziano Discusses Brock Purdy, Nick Bosa, the Rams and NFL Training Camp Storylines
Q: Dan, you mentioned the defending Super Bowl champions, the Seattle Seahawks and the Super Bowl favorites going into the 2026 season, the LA Rams with the addition of Miles Garrett this offseason. Now, do you agree with the notion that the Rams should be favored over the Seahawks after acquiring Miles Garrett?
I think so. The Rams addressed multiple areas, especially the secondary, and their overall team construction looks stronger. When you factor in how close it was last year and the upgrades they made, they deserve consideration as favorites in that division.
