  • Pretty good but

Spent 5 minutes on giants before going ot the dodgers. Tim, stop pretending you cover the giants, your o[inions show very little watching and knowledge. Missing how hockey has been doing this large contract trade and dismissing it shows lack of care. Wake up. I think this might be the last time I listen to north south, it’s really south plus 49ers

  • Tim K a sanctimonious hot head. Barrows is great.

Tim is a petty tyrant who blocks folks from accessing his work on social media for benign milquetoast takes on his work. His attitude carries over in to the content he puts out on this podcast for example Tim shared folks at the 49ers remarking he hasn’t been at the facility. There’s no need to be humble in this business but there is a need to be self aware and that lack of self awareness coupled with unearned smugness is a real turn off, except for when the amazingly nice and self aware Barrows... more

  • Pretty good but

Tim needs to stop saying devers was a lot of money. He would be the 5th highest for dodgers and maybe top 20? Plus they gave up hicks. The giants owner payroll has been out of the top 10 for 9 of 10 years. Stop pretending you don’t mind saying how it is, when you don’t. Not critical of lacob, not critical of Greg Johnson. Like a Elon boy, sucking up to owners.

Hey M Barrows love your work but thought the “say my name” comment was insensitive. Research it as it relates to Floyd. You’re better than that.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

[TK Show] A Conversation with ESPN 49ers Writer Nick Wagoner
Q: How does the Brandon Aiyuk situation affect the 49ers' roster strategy and future moves?
Aiyuk's status has created leverage dynamics and questions about leadership, but the team appears to be evaluating whether he can align with the culture and perform at a high level, which influences potential trades and the construction of the cap and depth chart.
[TK Show] A Conversation with ESPN 49ers Writer Nick Wagoner
Q: What does the Mike Evans addition signify for the 49ers beyond the on-field impact?
It signals a commitment to leadership and stability in the locker room, a veteran voice to guide younger receivers, and a broader shift toward winning now while acknowledging the aging of core stars.
[TK Show] A Conversation with ESPN 49ers Writer Nick Wagoner
Q: Nick, were you surprised that Shanahan shut down the mini camp?
Not particularly; it fit the pattern of the league this year with some teams cutting back on camp days, and the presence of key veterans like Trent Williams suggested a strategic pause to protect players coming back from injury and to manage the roster heading into camp.
[North & South] Giants Beat Dodgers / Steve Kerr's Future
Q: What did Kerr's comments imply about his future with the team?
They suggest a possible desire to reset and consider a different path, with the coach's future potentially tied to how the organization negotiates changes and who would follow Kerr, rather than an immediate, definitive decision.
[TK Show] Sound File: Buster Posey on the Giants' Very Slow Start
Q: Given the slow start to the season, what has been the most challenging aspect for the team to address early on?
The host asks Posey about the early-season struggles and the focus is on the roster decisions, leadership, and how the team plans to respond, emphasizing staying patient, turning the page game-to-game, and relying on the confidence in the core group to turn things around.
