  • Ride-the-fence Bream

Speaking on Shannon’s national/political commentary; she nearly never takes a stance on any important issue. Her approach is cringe in that she believes every side of any given issue makes a great point and it’s just such a hard choice to make between the two. Gross. Speaking on Shannon’s views on Christianity; she tells you everything will be ok, and things will get better, and we should just have hope in sweet baby Jesus. Problem with this sensitive take is; her biblical worldview does not lin... more

  • Great Commentary

I really appreciate how Shannon is able to talk politics yet is grounded in the Word. I recently heard her speak at a women’s conference & she was humble about sharing her testimony.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Freely Sober: Finding Grace Beyond The Gray Area
Q: Where did you come to a realization that sobriety was a conversation you needed to have with yourself and others?
She describes a long process of recognizing the impact of alcohol on her life, the influence of family history and pressure, and the moment she decided to pursue sobriety through education, community, and faith, rather than relying on willpower alone.
Back to Basics: Putting Pen to Paper
Q: What should educators prioritize in the classroom regarding technology?
Use tech deliberately, keep most instruction analog when possible, and ensure teachers are the primary drivers of learning; maintain a tech lab rather than a default every student activity, and leverage physiological resonance to engage students while preserving human connection.
Back to Basics: Putting Pen to Paper
Q: What should parents and kids be doing to support learning with tech?
Start with a simple, tangible change: print materials, prioritize analog learning, and gradually reduce screen time through values-based household routines rather than rigid bans. Emphasize slow, deliberate practice over quick digital shortcuts and model healthier tech habits.
Unbreakable Courage with Pastor Max Lucado
Q: Can I ask a question? Do you retain well? I mean, when you read something, do you have high retention?
Lucado explains he's strong with short-term retention and makes notes; he reads broadly and keeps a system of shorthand notes to stay current and prepared for ongoing stories.
Protecting Religious Freedoms Around The World
Q: What about the H-1B visa argument and the need for skilled workers—how do you respond to party members who support it?
He argues that while skilled labor is important, the system can undervalue American workers, with examples like Microsoft replacing American workers with H-1B visa holders; he advocates prioritizing American workers and ensuring domestic education aligns with job needs.
